Information regarding drop off points for donations to the Head Over Heels Appeal

When someone puts out a call for help, Aussies are always the first to jump in boots and all (no pun intended!) to do what they can. The amazing scenes of thousands of volunteers arriving in Brisbane in gumboots, mop & bucket in hand has been shown all over the world. And then there is little ol' us - just wanting initially for six kids to get some shoes to replace their lost school shoes. What started as an appeal for one family is now looking like we will be supporting the whole town of Graceville so hats off to you Sydney - I am so proud to have started this appeal, and thank each and every one of you for your support.
A quick update on drop off points - I will be posting some details tomorrow but basically our little shed isn't going to be big enough for all the generous donations that have been pledged to us. I have one business in Baulkham Hills who is going to confirm details with me tomorrow that they will be happy to accept donations on our behalf. I am also waiting to hear back on a storage facility, whom I am hoping will donate one months worth of storage fees, so that we have a bigger space to house our donations. Finally, I will be posting specific information tomorrow but it looks like we may be able to set up our car & trailer to take donated goods at the Annangrove Association Australia Day celebrations at the park on Annangrove Road on January 26. We went there last year with our family and the kids had a ball - pony rides, show bags, bucking bull, jumping castles, sausage sizzle, the Rural Fire Service showing off their trucks, and much much more. I am working on a deal where any family that drops in their donation, gets a free entry for the lucky door prize (usually a big ticket item) so if you haven't made plans for Australia Day as yet, and are looking for something to do in the Hills early in the day, I can highly recommend it.
On another positive note, I received another message from Christine Ahern from Channel 9 who has given me more details about the location of the affected family and has promised to pass our details on to them as well. Love your work Christine!
